I never considered myself as a prejudice person until I came to the United States where you can find all variety of nations and social groups. Then I realized how sad and harmful it could be to feel like you are different, you are less welcome to public places or you are always going to prejudge only by your outer look.
Prejudice is an awful issue that human beings are dealing with for years, it is becoming a fact, but the fact is differences in physical and intellectual characteristics among the races had produced by evolutionary, historical, and environmental factors, all races possessing the same fundamental human biological characteristics and the same inherent capacities for intellectual achievement. The basic human needs, desires and emotions shared by all human beings but why human beings are prejudice? There is no definite answer for that, but most likely it is because humans are afraid of differences, they find it hard to deal with someone who has different appearance. Because of that, some races are still struggling to get their very basic needs. Here in the united states, the land of freedom, black people are still have problems going to school, there in my country people with some certain religion cannot study or vote or even volunteer for social activities. Therefore those whom being treated differently in the last few decades, they feel no dependency to anywhere, they always being ignored by the majority of people, they always have to fight for their rights and that’s why the level of crime is always higher among them. In addition, this affects all human beings directly or indirectly. To solve the problem we must not only educate by the media but also become a social movement.
It doesn’t matter if you are black or white, Christian or Muslim, poor or rich, sooner or later we all are going back to the same place where we came from.
